These standards are based on a list of professional competencies around standards determined by the International Board of Standards for Training, Performance, and Instruction (IBSTPI).

Professional Foundation in LDT

This supra badge has four sub-badges: ID professional communicator; applying ID research & theory; ID knowledge, skills, and attitudes; and ethical, legal, and political implications of design.

Planning and Analysis

This supra badge has four sub badges: gap analysis, target population and environment, analysis techniques for instruction, and analyze technologies.

Design and Development

This supra badge has six sub badges: instructional design and development process, systematic design, design instructional interventions, select or modify existing instructional materials, develop instructional materials, and design learning assessment.

Evaluation and Implementation

This supra badge has two sub badges: evaluating instructional and non-instructional interventions and designing a plan for the dissemination and diffusion of instructional and/or non-instructional interventions.
